Everyone you know, including yourself, is in a situationship. "No I'm not", you say. "I'm not even in a relationship to be able to be in a situationship", you add. Well, I challenge that. We are all in a relationship with "life". You and life are connected emotionally. Not only do you embrace the good, you have to embrace the bad and everything in between. Your relationship with life gets stronger as you both conquer storms. "Storms?", you ask. Yep. Storms or challenges with money, career, health and relationship with others. Your interactions with money, careers, health, and relationships without the label of knowing what is going on or you expect to get more than you are getting, then, bets are, you are in a sitationship.

ARE SITUATIONSHIPS BENEFICIAL?

Situationships are beneficial if you take the time to learn from the good and bad that are inevitable to arise. For example, we all can learn how to make life work in our favor. Whether it is saving more money by taking fewer trips to Starbucks, investing in a career to become an expert at your craft, or slowing down to enjoy little moments of life, we all want to experience life at its fullest and greatest potential. You have the ability to turn any situationship into a beneficial affair.

HOW CAN I TURN MY SITUATIONSHIP INTO A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP?

So, you're looking to define the relationship with your money, health, career, and relationship with others? Well, duh! Aren't we all! Transparency is a game changer for defining your situationship. Be transparent about the things that NEED to change or you would LIKE to see changed. Changing your outlook and perspective requires you to acknowledge there is a problem. "Hello, my name is (insert name here) and I drink too much coffee." Yes, acknowledge it! When you are honest, open, and transparent about the problem, you open the universe to work in your favor.

Situationships can be cold, lonely, frustrating, and down right dirty. Without having a clear vision of how you would like your money, health, career and personal relationships to be, you risk being in a situationship with life. Can we all change cold turkey? Man, wouldn't that be nice! Our own actions have to change in order for life to change for the better. Be transparent regarding necessary changes then put in the work to make the changes happen. The rules of life are never black and white; however, we all have to start somewhere. Why not start where you are? Get moving towards that awesome relationship with life!

It is now 2020, the year of execution. Oh my goodness! That sounds so...harsh. Well, it's not. This is the year to execute the dreams you wrote about in the last decade. Listen to the Situationship podcast on Anchor, Spotify, Apple Podcast, and Pocket Casts for guidance and encouragement for moving towards a life of high expectation and gratitude. More platforms are coming soon so be on the lookout for those.
